Our hand carved Stratford pieces in a greyed oak finish are inspired by the ‘tramp art’ movement, that originated in the late 19th century in the United States. Artisans created intricate carvings and designs using discarded wood and found materials.
The art form reflects a combination of necessity and creativity, as these craftsmen sought to make use of available resources while expressing their artistic visions.
